About Me
During my childhood years, all the time was spent playing with my brother and friends in the neighbourhood. Since early years of my life, I had an inclination towards music. But, my parents were not strong financially and I cannot ask them for sending me to some training institute.
When I was twelve years old, we shifted from the countryside to the main city. The life in the city was completely different and it took us long to get used to the lifestyle of the city. However, shifting to the city proved to be a milestone in my career as a musician.
In the city, my parents sent me to study in one of the best schools in the neighbourhood. In the school, auditions were conducted to select students for performing on annual day of the school. All my friends were going for the audition and I joined them too. Somewhere inside I was happy that I am going to become a part of the music band at my school. I performed at the audition, all my teachers praised my performance, and I was the member of the music band of our school.
From the day of auditions, my music career began and I never looked back. Our music band performed at various places and events relentlessly. I was never able to figure out how all these years passed by performing in every hook and corner of the city.
By the age of sixteen, I decided that I want to become a successful musician and I am glad that I was to fulfil my dream. Nevertheless, my journey of becoming a successful musician was not as simple as it appears. There were many obstacles in the path but I am glad that I conquered all of them.
After passing out from school, I wanted to perform but at a huge platform. However, at the same time I knew that getting a break is not simple. After putting efforts for long, I was included in a leading music band but they made me stood at the rear end. Obviously, it was not that I wanted but I knew I would make it big one day. After performing with the band for a few months, I met some successful musicians and other artists.
On March 16 1981, I was asked to give an audition. Those people did not tell for whom I will be singing. Without thinking much, I went for the audition and made through it. Afterwards, I got to know that I would be the lead singer in the music band. Truly, it was the golden day of my life. My family, friends and everyone else was happy with my achievement.
My life changed drastically after the audition day. I was trained under world’s best singers, musicians and artists. I, along with my band, performed not only in our country but also across the world. It took not very long to won the hearts of millions especially girls across the world. Whenever I toured, I used to get so many gifts and messages from my fans and it always feels great.
Throughout my career as a musician, I tried my hand in different forms of music. Be it house music or rock, I enjoy performing all of them. One thing that many people do not know about me is I am a bad dancer. Many times, I was asked to shake a leg at events but I have always refused to do so. Don’t know but dancing scares me big time. I wish I could dance well and entertain my audience in a better way.
Even after performing for decades, my passion for music remains the same. In the coming years, I might not perform on the stage but I want to continue my relationship with music until I die. I am planning to start up a music academy in my hometown where I will be training aspiring musicians. I do not want anyone to give up his passion for music just because proper training facilities are not available.
Today, I am happy and content with my life. I always take out time to go for a holiday with my wife, and children. Travelling is my hobby and I wish to explore all the beautiful places on this Earth.
